Who can become a member?
Faglig Fælles A-kasse admits salaried as well as self-employed workers in certain occupations. The unemployment insurance fund accepts as members both skilled and unskilled workers in six main areas: manufacturing, building and construction; transport; the public sector; private sector services, hotels and catering; and gardening and forestry. Full-time, part-time and student membership are accepted.

Where are their offices?
The fund is headquartered in Copenhagen and has 5 regional offices in Aalborg, Viborg, Middelfart, Ringsted and on Frederiksberg. FOA's A-kasse also has an office in Rønne on Bornholm.

The choice of unemployment fund is restricted. Under Danish law, unemployment insurance funds can opt to be either "occupationally delimited unemployment insurance funds" or "cross-occupational unemployment insurance funds". The former admit only persons with a certain profession or occupation, whereas the latter are open to all. Unemployment funds are free to choose whether to admit self-employed persons.
